Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

Skoolgrades collects information you provide when creating an account (name, email address) and data from your Skool community that you authorize us to sync. This includes member profiles, post activity, leaderboard data, engagement metrics, and chat messages within your community.

When you use the Skoolgrades extension, we record a log of actions you initiate through it (such as marking notifications as read), including timestamps, the action type, and whether it succeeded. This log is used for troubleshooting and abuse prevention.

When you use the Skoolgrades extension on Skool, we record limited browsing context — the URL of the Skool page you are viewing — at the moment certain in-page indicators (such as notification badges) appear or change. This is used solely to surface the right Skoolgrades content for the page you are on. URLs are truncated to 500 characters and never aggregated across users.

If you use the extension's Copy buttons, the extension will request your permission to write to your clipboard. We do not read your clipboard.

We also collect basic technical information such as your browser type, operating system, and device type when you use our service.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Skoolgrades service
  • Generate analytics, reports, and AI-powered insights for your community
  • Send you notifications related to your account and sync status
  • Respond to your support requests
  • Perform actions on your behalf within your Skool community when you explicitly request them through the extension (such as marking notifications as read)

We do not sell your data to third parties.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, hosted on infrastructure in the United States. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS) and access controls to protect your information.

Your Skool session cookie is transmitted securely and used to sync community data and, when you explicitly request it through the extension, to perform actions on your behalf (such as marking notifications as read). We do not store your Skool password.

The Skoolgrades extension does not load or execute any code from external sources. The extension's user interface is configured by JSON data from skoolgrades.com that parameterizes UI elements defined entirely within the extension package. On install or update, the extension re-injects its own bundled content script into any Skoolgrades.com tab you have open, so your account stays connected without requiring you to manually refresh the page.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only with the third-party service providers necessary to operate Skoolgrades, including our authentication provider (Clerk), database provider (Supabase), and AI provider (Anthropic) for generating insights. Personal identifiers such as member email addresses and internal user IDs are excluded from the data sent to Anthropic. Each provider is bound by their own privacy and security commitments.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Skoolgrades, our users, or the public.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@skoolgrades.com.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of Skoolgrades after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

If you have questions about this policy, contact us at hello@skoolgrades.com.
